CRISTA HUNTER

Director of Education

Crista started off her career as a child who took in and attempted to rehabilitate every wounded animal she came across. Her curiosity about pathophysiology and interest in medicine stuck, but Crista was easily distracted by adventure. She spent many years as a sponsored rock climber, and lived by the motto, “climb now, work later”. Eventually, she realized this lifestyle would not sustain, but realized her roots and a career that was flexible and varying as to never be bored. At the urging of her then boyfriend, now husband, Crista enrolled in nursing school. Once she found out nurses could fly, that would be her only aspiration. Crista’s nursing career started off at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas in pediatrics as a Nurse Apprentice, then Trauma ICU. In 2014, Crista started her flight career and currently continues to fly fixed wing and rotor.
